Welcome to Springfield Farm Holiday Pods.

We are situated just south of Edinburgh, making us the ideal rural location for holiday makers looking for country pursuits or for those seeking city excursions.

Why not escape to the country and explore the spectacular Pentland Hills, get your kicks mountain biking in the Scottish Borders or simply put the kettle on, relax at your pod and embrace the views.

If it’s the city you want to see, Edinburgh is only half an hour away. Take a tour of Edinburgh Castle and the historic Royal Mile, take in a show at the famous Edinburgh Festival or get some retail therapy on Princes Street.

Whether you are seeking off road adventure, a city experience or simply want to have a relaxing break in the countryside, we are ready to welcome you to Springfield Farm.

The Farm

Springfield is a working farm, with pedigree cattle, sheep and pigs. The cattle we breed are Highlands and Simmentals. We have pedigree Suffolk sheep and other commercial breeds with lambing starting in January and finishing in April.
Our pigs are Saddlebacks and love a good scratch! We are proud to have a high health status on the farm, meaning we comply with all disease control and animal husbandry legislation. We have a busy calendar year with sheep lambing, cattle calving, tractor work in the fields and bulls being prepared for shows and sales and lots more.
During your stay you might get to meet our Highland Cattle, say hello to our sheep or stretch your legs and take a walk along the bridle path round the farm.
We also sell our own meat from the farm and you will be able to buy a delicious meat pack to cook on the BBQ at your POD.
